The PCM eliminates lag by adjusting downshift tables and increases transmission line pressure. It also features a 185F fan turn-on temperature with a 90-second activation at key-off for engines 180 degrees or greater, year-specific MAF calibration, and adjusted PE engagement to reduce knock retard (KR). Part throttle KR issues are fixed, and torque abuse modes are modified to eliminate launch bog. Shift KR is remapped for modified vehicles, and torque converter lockup tables are adjusted to improve transmission life and prevent hunting.\n\nThis PCM does not alter emissions and can be programmed with the correct VIN if provided in the notes. ZZPerformance ensures prompt service, fast turnaround, and dedicated customer support. Compatibility notes include specific instructions for certain Grand Prix models ('06+ and '06-'08 GXP\/Monte Carlo\/Impala SS V8 require in-person flashing), and Camaro\/Firebird V6 models ('97-02 require sending in the stock core).
