68-9 V8 MS TO PS CONVERSION KT

This Scott Drake integral power steering conversion kit is designed for 1968-70 Classic Mustangs originally equipped with manual steering. It features a remanufactured modern integral power steering gearbox, offering a true modern power steering feel, feedback, and a sporty 16:1 ratio. The gearbox bolts directly to the factory mounting location and fits the stock pitman arm without any interference or modification of the shock tower. Note that 1968-69 Mustangs will require the factory column to be collapsed 1-2" for clearance. Factory Ford pumps work with these kits above idle but provide minimal power assist under 800 RPM. This kit will not fit manual transmission cars with a factory equalizer bar.
