It also comes with a snap ring to complete the assembly. The Red Eagle friction material is developed through a proprietary dual saturation process, starting with a phenolic resin cure followed by a silicate saturation. This enhances friction coefficients and heat resistance, providing a shorter lock-up time to generate less heat and reduce wear on opposing steel plates, thereby minimizing the incidence of steel plate burning and warping.\n\nComplementing the friction plates are the Kolene® steel plates. Kolene® is a salt bath nitriding process that provides a surface treatment enhancing wear and fatigue resistance by 200% to 500%. This treatment offers higher heat resistance and increased lubricity, strengthening wear characteristics and fatigue strength for greater durability.\n\nThis kit is recommended for high-torque racing applications, HD diesel trucks, towing, and plow trucks.
