The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper size, four brake pads are standard per caliper.\n\nThe two-piece floating disc assembly reduces rotating and unsprung weight, and prevents thermal stresses from warping the disc. The unique rotor slot design minimizes braking noise and expels gas and debris more efficiently. Ksport offers cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler, and slotted rotors, recommended for track use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are NAOC ceramic pads designed for optimal street and occasional track performance. Optional Ksport RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) are available for extreme track conditions but are not recommended for street use due to their higher optimal operating temperatures.\n\nD.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, improving pedal feel and response.
