The opposed piston design improves pad wear and caliper rigidity, while the stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper size, each requires four brake pads.\n\nThe kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly to reduce rotating and unsprung weight, preventing thermal stresses from warping the disc. The unique slot design on the rotor helps expel gas and pad debris, and the rotors are heat-treated and balanced. Cross-drilled rotors are standard and recommended for daily driven vehicles, while slotted rotors are recommended for track use.\n\nThis kit comes standard with Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are ceramic and designed for street and occasional track conditions with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F. They offer reduced brake dust and noise compared to race pads. An optional upgrade to Ksport RC5 Race Pads, made of carbon metallic for extreme track conditions (optimal temperatures 482°F – 1472°F), is available.
