The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over the OEM design, and the included stainless-steel brake lines resist expansion under pressure. This SuperComp caliper requires four brake pads per caliper due to its size.\n\nThis kit features a 2-piece floating disc assembly to reduce rotating and unsprung weight, and it prevents thermal stresses from warping the disc. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use.\n\nStandard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions with operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F. Optional RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) are available for extreme track conditions, with optimal operating temperatures between 482°F – 1472°F, and are not recommended for street use.
