Description

This Cometic gasket, designed after the 2001-05 factory part, is constructed from multi-layer steel for durability, similar to stock components. Its 0.040" thickness offers a slight increase in head/block spacing, which can subtly lower compression and provide additional clearance for pistons that may sit slightly proud of the block. With a 0.5mm larger bore than the original gasket, this unit is specifically compatible with Flyin' Miata's 85mm high compression pistons or their 84.5mm 9:1 stroker kits. The 0.040" measurement represents the gasket's compressed thickness after installation. This head gasket is designed to fit 2001-2005 model years, including the 2004-2005 MSM variant.
