Diesel engines produce significant heat, especially during high-output activities like towing, racing, or stop-and-go driving. This PPE Insulator Firewall is a custom-fit replacement designed to upgrade tattered or dirty factory insulation. It creates a barrier against heat in 1999-2007 Duramax diesel engines. The insulator features merrowed stainless steel wire edging for durability and grommets for an OEM fit. Its construction includes a ceramic fiber interior sandwiched between tightly woven silicone fiberglass outer fabric and a woven silica inner panel, providing temperature resistance up to 1,290 degrees Fahrenheit. It aims to improve cabin comfort by reducing engine heat and noise. Installation does not require engine removal.
