The Racing Beat Race tubular sway bar is an performance-oriented chassis component engineered specifically for race-ready Mazda MX5 Miata models. Developed initially for the SCCA STS autocross class, this bar provides increased torsional stiffness to allow drivers to fine-tune vehicle handling to suit specific track conditions or additional suspension modifications. Constructed with a 1.125-inch outside diameter and a heavy-duty .188-inch (3/16-inch) wall thickness, this race-spec bar is significantly stiffer than the standard tubular alternatives. To provide further setup flexibility, the bar features two distinct end-link mounting hole positions. The kit includes the necessary installation hardware, specifically replacement urethane bushings, steel bar clamps, and Prothane bushing grease. This component is strictly for race applications and is not recommended for street use. For optimal performance, the manufacturer recommends pairing this sway bar with a Racing Beat Sway Bar Brace Kit and heavy-duty sway bar end links to accommodate the increased demand on the vehicle's suspension components. Note that while this bar will fit the chassis of 1990-2005 Miata models, mounting hole compatibility may vary by specific year, and users should verify setup requirements for their specific generation.
