The AGP 1/3/5 Gear Extender is a performance upgrade for the 2003-2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4, specifically engineered to address common shifting difficulties. If you're experiencing trouble engaging 1st, 3rd, or 5th gear, it's often due to a bent shift fork. Instead of a complete transmission teardown, this billet extender provides the necessary additional throw to ensure full gear engagement. Constructed from hardened tool steel, this extender is built for a lifetime of service. It is designed to directly resolve issues such as transmission grinding and the common problem of 3rd gear pop-out, restoring smooth and reliable shifting. While the transmission top cover plate is removed for installation, it's an opportune time to consider replacing the shift selector as well, for which AGP also offers a dedicated part. Note: The appearance of the extender may vary due to potential oxidation from shelf storage; this does not affect its functionality or proper installation.
