1.375-Inch Front Sway Bar

The Steeda 555-1087 front sway bar is engineered to provide superior handling, flatter cornering, and enhanced stability for 1979-1993 Ford Mustangs. With a full 1.375-inch diameter, this tubular steel bar is designed to properly control the vehicle's roll stiffness, allowing for optimized grip and balance without sacrificing ride quality. This sway bar is constructed with machined steel billet sway bar ends, offering greater resistance to bending stresses compared to coined ends found on other aftermarket bars. This robust construction reduces the likelihood of cracking or fatigue failure, and minimizes unwanted deflection, which can alter the sway bar's effective stiffness and compromise handling geometry. As a result, the Steeda 555-1087 maintains its designed rate for longer. Compared to stock components, the 555-1087 offers a weight advantage. For 1987-1993 models, it is four pounds lighter than the stock sway bar, weighing 17.5 lbs versus the stock 21.5 lbs, and is 15% stiffer. For the 1993 Cobra, it weighs 17.5 lbs compared to the stock 16.5 lbs, but offers 100% greater stiffness. All 1979-1993 sway bars come with new end link bushings.
