Overview

The Unitronic Cold Air Intake System is a direct bolt-on performance upgrade designed for the 1.4 TSI EA211 engine.

The system features a 3-inch powdercoated aluminum intake tube and a lightweight aluminum heat shield. It includes multi-ply reinforced silicone couplers and a proprietary 3-inch high-flow air filter with a radius-faced velocity stack. An integrated PCV recirculation port is also included for seamless integration into the engine bay.

The Unitronic Cold Air Intake System is a direct bolt-on performance upgrade engineered to optimize airflow to the turbocharger for the 1.4 TSI EA211 engine. This system aims to provide a boost in performance, an increase in throttle response, and a more aggressive turbocharger sound, while integrating seamlessly into the engine bay for a clean OEM+ look. The construction features a 3-inch powdercoated aluminum intake tube and a matching powdercoated aluminum heat shield to minimize heat soak. Smooth airflow transitions are facilitated by multi-ply reinforced and bellowed silicone couplers, including a 5-ply 3-inch bellowed coupler and a 4-ply 3-inch to 2.25-inch reducer. The system also includes a proprietary 3-inch high-flow air filter with a radius-faced velocity stack and an integrated PCV recirculation port. Installation is designed to be straightforward, taking approximately one hour with minimal tools required, rated at a difficulty level of 1. All necessary hardware is included, such as stainless steel hose clamps and heatshield mounting hardware. This intake system is recommended for use with Unitronic Stage 1 and Stage 1+ performance software. This intake system is specifically designed to fit the VW Mk6 (2011-2014) with the 1.4T Hybrid engine and the VW Mk6.5 (2015-2018) with the 1.4T engine.
