1-5/8" Long Tube Headers w/ HTC Coating

The Hedman Hedders 69096 is a performance-oriented, full-length header set engineered to maximize horsepower and torque from Small Block Chevy engines. Each header is constructed from 16-gauge mild steel with CNC mandrel-bent tubes for smooth, unrestricted exhaust flow. The primary tubes measure 1-5/8 inches in diameter, leading to a 3-inch ball and socket collector. This unique gasketless collector design simplifies installation and accommodates slight exhaust system misalignment. The headers are treated with Hedman's HTC (High Temperature Ceramic) coating, featuring a polished silver, ceramic-metallic finish. This coating provides excellent corrosion resistance and can withstand temperatures up to 1400 degrees Fahrenheit. The HTC finish is backed by a 5-year factory warranty, in addition to Hedman's standard limited lifetime warranty on header construction. All necessary mounting hardware, gaskets, and reducers are included to facilitate installation. These long-tube headers are designed for 1967-1991 GM 1/2-ton to 1-ton 2WD trucks, 1967-1987 1/2-ton to 3/4-ton 4WD trucks, and 1967-1991 GM full-size SUVs and motorhomes. They are compatible with 283-400 cubic inch Small Block Chevy engines that do not have an A.I.R. system and are centered in the engine bay. Important fitment notes include that these headers are not for vehicles with an offset (right) engine position. There may be clutch interference with the cross shaft behind the driver side rear port. Additionally, these headers are not legal for street use on 1975 and later model years; they are for off-road use only.
