1 5/8" Stainless Steel Exhaust Header

LC Engineering has over 20 years of experience crafting race headers, and this kit is the result of countless hours of dyno and real-world testing. Its long tube design is optimized to generate significant torque, while the large 1 5/8" primaries ensure maximum flow for substantial high-RPM horsepower gains. The header tubes are constructed from 16-gauge, 304 stainless steel and are mandrel-bent to maintain optimal flow without kinks or restrictions. The collector flange features a redesigned merge collector for a fully weldable surface and smooth transition to your exhaust outlet. LC Engineering manufactures its header flanges in-house; the head flange is CNC cut from 1/2" thick mild steel and precision re-surfaced after welding to guarantee a perfectly flat mating surface. The header tubes are welded both internally and externally to the head flange—a feature typically reserved for custom-made race headers—ensuring superior strength and longevity. The collector flange is 3/8" thick with a 2 1/4" opening, and both flanges utilize factory-style gaskets for ease of replacement. The kit includes new header and collector gaskets, collector hardware, and an additional 2-bolt flange for connecting to a custom exhaust system. It is intended for off-road use only and is not street legal for emissions-controlled vehicles. The Pro Headers do not include provisions for stock air injection tubes or oxygen sensors, and a connector pipe to the factory exhaust is not included due to the race-focused design. This header fits all 1982 to 1995 2WD pickups only. For 4WD pickups and 4Runners, Part #1041024 should be considered. LC Engineering advises against wrapping the headers with exhaust wrap, as this can lead to premature failure, corrosion, and will void all warranty claims. Fitment cannot be guaranteed for any chassis before 1982 or for any RVs due to custom vehicle manufacturing differences; a test fit header option is available for RVs.
