The RV6 Performance 1.5T FK8 Clutch Retro Flywheel is designed to allow the use of a 2017+ Civic Type R (FK8) clutch disc and pressure plate in 1.5T Si or any manual 1.5T equipped car. It is 42% lighter than the stock flywheel, weighing 20.5lbs. The flywheel is made from high-strength forged chromoly and is fully machined and balanced, retaining the pilot bushing for the input shaft.

The RV6 Performance 1.5T FK8 Clutch Retro Flywheel enables the installation of a 2017+ Civic Type R (FK8) clutch disc and pressure plate into your 1.5T Si or any 1.5T manual transmission vehicle. This upgrade provides access to the FK8 clutch's superior torque handling capabilities, with factory FK8 clutches holding over 400 ft-lbs of torque. Constructed from high-strength forged chromoly, this flywheel is 42% lighter than the factory unit, weighing in at 20.5 lbs. While lighter flywheels can improve engine response, RV6 has engineered this one to avoid tripping ECU misfire detection and causing inspection errors. It is fully machined and balanced, and retains the pilot bushing for the input shaft. The goal is to enhance power holding capacity without compromising comfort or drivability. Available clutch options include Stage 0 (holds ~400 ft-lbs, recommended for most users), Stage 1 (holds ~430 ft-lbs, slightly less refined shifting feel), and Stage 2 (holds ~460 ft-lbs, with a stiffer spring and 3-puck friction disc, also with a noticeable difference in shifting feel). Each kit includes the FK8 pressure plate, FK8 friction disc, alignment tool, pressure plate bolts, lube, OEM 1.5T release bearing, and flywheel bolts.
