1.5T Short Ram Air Intake System

The PRL Motorsports Short Ram Intake System is engineered for the 2016-2021 Honda Civic Non-Si 1.5T, offering an alternative to a Cold Air Intake for customers seeking improved performance. The intake utilizes a 4-inch air filter and comes with two MAF housing options: Standard Bore and Big Bore. For those opting for the Big Bore MAF housing, which allows for 50% greater airflow volume and reduces pumping loss, an ECU calibration is required. PRL Motorsports offers Big Bore MAF-specific basemap calibrations compatible with both Hondata and KTuner platforms, and also supports "Race MAF" options for TSP & PHEARABLE calibrations. Performance gains are quoted at up to 15 horsepower and 12 ft-lb of torque with the Standard Bore MAF housing without a tune. With the Big Bore MAF housing and a compatible basemap calibration, gains can reach up to 20 horsepower and 15 ft-lb of torque. Larger gains are achievable with custom tuning. Fitment is confirmed for all 2016-2021 Honda Civic Non-Si 1.5T models, including 6MT, CVT, RHD, and International variants. However, it is important to note that this intake system is not legal for sale or use in California on any emission-controlled motor vehicle. Due to the nature of short ram intakes on this chassis, heat-soak can reduce performance gains as the engine and intake warm up.
