1.65 Rocker Arms

The ZZP 1.65 Rocker Arms offer a direct upgrade from stock 1.6 ratio rocker arms, increasing your cam's lift by approximately 3%. This enhancement is intended to boost the performance of aftermarket camshafts by slightly increasing valve lift. The design also focuses on reducing valvetrain weight, boasting a reduction of over 27% compared to OEM components, saving about 2 pounds in total. This weight reduction minimizes the effort required by the valve springs, thereby decreasing the likelihood of valve float and promoting smoother operation. These rocker arms feature upgraded trunion bearings for improved durability over stock units. They are compatible with supercharged, turbo, and naturally aspirated 3800 applications and are suitable for all Series II and III 3800 engines. No supporting modifications are strictly required, but it is essential to ensure adequate valve seal to retainer clearance due to the increased lift. The kit includes 12 rocker arms, 6 pedestals, and 12 rocker bolts. Stock pushrods will generally work, but checking lifter preload is recommended for optimal performance and to avoid potential issues like excessive preload (preventing starting) or insufficient preload (leading to valvetrain noise and damage).
