The Kooks 1-7/8-Inch Long Tube Headers are constructed from 16-gauge 304 stainless steel for durability and performance. These headers are designed for 1979-1995 Ford Mustangs equipped with a 5.0L 4V Coyote Modular engine and an automatic transmission (10R80, 6R80, or MT-82). Installation requires the use of a Maximum Motorsports K-Member PN:MMKM-2.1 and standard 4.6L motor mounts, as well as a 1997-2000 Mustang 4.6L starter.

The Kooks Mustang 1-7/8-Inch Long Tube Headers are engineered to enhance the performance of your 1979-1995 Ford Mustang when equipped with a 5.0L 4V Coyote Modular engine and an automatic transmission (10R80, 6R80, and MT-82). Constructed from 16-gauge 304 stainless steel, these headers are built for longevity and high-performance exhaust flow. Installation of these headers requires specific supporting modifications. You must use a Maximum Motorsports K-Member PN:MMKM-2.1 along with STANDARD 4.6L motor mounts (Maximum Motorsports PN:6-504-BL). Additionally, a 1997-2000 Mustang 4.6L starter (Ford P# SA848RM or equivalent) is necessary. The OEM transmission crossmember mounts must be removed, and these headers are recommended for use with STIFFLERS transmission crossmembers. It is crucial to note several compatibility restrictions. These headers cannot be used with 2015 and newer Coyote engines that feature Charge Motion Control Valves. Furthermore, they are incompatible with the OEM style rubber rag joint steering shaft. For manual transmission applications, part number 10512402 is required.
