The do88 AUDI SEAT SKODA VW 1.8 / 2.0 TSI (MQB) Intercooler is a self-designed performance upgrade engineered for a seamless drop-in installation in Audi, Seat, Skoda, and VW models equipped with the 1.8 TSI or 2.0 TSI (MQB) engine. This intercooler boasts substantial improvements over the stock unit, including a core volume of 15347cm3, which is 99% larger than the OEM intercooler's 7719cm3. It also provides a 5% larger active cooling area (2692 cm2 vs 2573 cm2) and an impressive 47% higher airflow at a 0.15bar (2.18psi) pressure drop, achieving 455 CFM compared to the OEM's 310 CFM. These enhancements result in a lower post-intercooler air temperature of 24°C under the same conditions, a significant 12°C reduction from the OEM's 36°C. Constructed from aluminum with continuous welds, this intercooler is built for reliability and endurance. Its design prioritizes optimal cooling efficiency, even under demanding conditions, ensuring consistent power delivery and preventing heat buildup during repeated full-throttle runs or in hot climates. The engine will pull better throughout the rev range and maintain its performance, even on stock, non-tuned vehicles where OEM intercoolers often struggle. All necessary hardware, including bolts and washers, along with mounting instructions, are included. However, specific notes apply to certain models: the hot side hose may need shortening on the VW Tiguan (MK2), and the plastic radiator/intercooler support frame will require trimming or modifications for the Audi A3/S3 (8V), Audi TT/TTS (8S), SEAT León/Cupra (MK3), and SEAT Ateca/Cupra (MK1). Additionally, this intercooler does not fit the Arteon R (320 hp) model.
