1.8L 20V Turbo Camshaft Set

The SPA Performance 252 / 260 High Performance Camshaft Set, coupled with forged head studs and a decompression MLS head gasket, offers a significant performance upgrade for VW/Audi 1.8L 20V engines. This matched camshaft set features 252° intake duration and 260° exhaust duration, designed to increase performance across the rev range and is suitable for street performance or dual street/track use. The intake camshaft has a lift of 8.2mm with a valve lift at TDC of 0.8mm, specifically for turbo applications with hydraulic lifters. The exhaust camshaft has a lift of 10.4mm with a valve lift at TDC of 0.7mm, also for hydraulic lifters. The kit includes 10 forged head studs, each 137mm in length with M10 x 1.5 threads, designed for a maximum torque of 72 ft/lb. It also incorporates a 2.50mm decompression multilayer metal head gasket, ideal for turbo conversions. This gasket integrates compression reduction, suitable for pistons up to 83.00mm, and lowers compression ratios to 8.55:1 (from 9.5:1 base) or 8.15:1 (from 9:1 base), depending on the original engine variant. Professional installation is strongly recommended for this cam set. It is advised to install the camshafts with a new set of hydraulic lifters to prevent damage. Additionally, the timing chain tensioner will need to be modified to allow for the free movement of the included adjustable cam sprockets.
