The Bartek 1.8T 20V forged piston and steel connecting rod set is a meticulously matched component package designed for extreme performance in 1.8T 20V engines. This set features WISECO forged pistons, known for their extreme performance capabilities, and BAR-TEK® X-shaft steel connecting rods, engineered to distribute and reduce extreme forces for enhanced stability and light weight (599 grams per rod). Together, these components are capable of supporting up to 650 hp, with the connecting rods alone rated for up to 1000 hp. The WISECO pistons are constructed from a special alloy, making them extremely light and reinforced for maximum performance. They feature a coated piston skirt to reduce friction and come complete with piston pins, rings, and clips. Available bore sizes include 81.00 mm, 81.50 mm, and 82.00 mm, all with a compression ratio of 8.5:1 when used with a 1.65 mm cylinder head gasket. ACL racing, coated connecting rod bearings with an extra bore for piston pin lubrication are also part of this comprehensive kit. This set is suitable for 1.8T 20V engines found in vehicles such as the Golf 4, Audi TT, and Seat Leon. The pistons feature an ArmorPlating option for maximum durability, applied to the piston crown, ring grooves, and pin bores, providing a low coefficient of friction, protection against burning through piston rings, and resistance to detonation. Installation and drilling dimensions are included with the piston set.
