The Carrot Top Tuning 1.8T Upgraded Side Mount Intercooler is a direct replacement bar-and-plate style SMIC. It offers increased surface area and volume for improved cooling performance with minimal pressure drop. This intercooler features precise welds and cast, sand-blasted end-tanks.

It is designed for MK4 1.8T Golf/Jetta and MK4 ALH TDI Golf/Jetta vehicles. The intercooler includes multi-map sensor fittings for small sensors, ensuring a trouble-free installation. Its dimensions are 5.125" x 7" x 8.25", significantly larger than the stock unit's 2.5" x 7" x 8".

The Carrot Top Tuning 1.8T Upgraded Side Mount Intercooler (SMIC) is engineered as a direct replacement for MK4 1.8T and ALH TDI models. This bar-and-plate style intercooler significantly enhances cooling performance by offering increased surface area and volume, all while maintaining minimal pressure drop. Installation is streamlined thanks to the inclusion of multi-map sensor fittings, specifically designed for small sensors, which eliminate guesswork and ensure a trouble-free fitment on MK4 1.8T Golf/Jetta and MK4 ALH TDI Golf/Jetta vehicles. The intercooler boasts expanded dimensions of 5.125" x 7" x 8.25", providing a substantial upgrade over the stock unit's 2.5" x 7" x 8" size.
