The Pioneer GM-DX971 is a 1-channel subwoofer amplifier engineered to deliver powerful and deep bass with its high-current circuitry and efficient Class-D design. This amplifier boasts a maximum power output of 2400 watts, with robust RMS ratings including 500W at 4 ohms, 800W at 2 ohms, and a substantial 1200W at 1 ohm. Its Class-D architecture is 50% smaller than previous GM-Series Class-AB amplifiers, enhancing installation flexibility and performance. This unit features a wired bass control remote for precise adjustment of bass levels to match musical preferences and the song's characteristics. For seamless integration, it includes automatic signal sensing and turn-on capabilities, allowing it to activate when it detects an audio signal through speaker-level outputs or by using the +12Vdc from the remote input for pre-amplified sources. Further enhancing its performance and durability, the GM-DX971 is equipped with gold-plated terminals for superior signal conductivity and corrosion resistance. Pioneer's TVC (Total Vibration Control) concept and Protection Control System (PCS) work together to maintain operational stability by counteracting vibrations and monitoring critical performance parameters like input voltage, current consumption, and temperature. Independent variable high-pass and low-pass filters (40 Hz to 500 Hz) allow for precise audio bandwidth adjustment and speaker/subwoofer optimization.
