Hypertech's Speedometer Calibrator corrects the speedometer and odometer for tires up to 54 inches (depending on the application) and/or non-stock rear gear ratios. It's designed for consumers who need speedometer recalibration without the additional expense of other tuning features found in a Max Energy Programmer. The device includes a USB cable and software for internet updates and upgrades. For an additional charge, it can be upgraded to a Max Energy Power Programmer. It plugs into the vehicle's under-dash connector, allowing quick reprogramming for accurate readings. It also reads and clears diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and allows users to return the vehicle's computer to stock programming. The Speedometer Calibrator can only be used on one vehicle at a time. An In-Line Speedometer Calibrator Module is also available for vehicles where the computer doesn't allow for tire size/rear gear ratio correction or for ranges outside of programmers. This module connects to the instrument cluster behind the dash. Note: Not for sale or use in California.
