The COMP Cams 82212-8 is a set of 12 hydraulic flat tappet lifters. These lifters feature a patented orifice metering valve that precisely meters oil to the rocker arms, maintaining continuous contact between the metering valve and the pushrod seat. The pushrod seat is constructed from a heat-treated powdered metal iron alloy for strength and wear resistance. They also contain a longer piston than conventional hydraulic lifters, providing more load-bearing surface and increasing longevity. The lightweight check valve disc allows for quicker response, increasing engine speed before valve float, and maintains added control at all engine speeds and loads.
