Description

The 1000 HP DSS-GTOSH2-A-04 is a 1-piece aluminum driveshaft designed for the 2004 Pontiac GTO. This driveshaft features a direct-fit rear flange, eliminating the need to remove the differential's rear flange and set pinion lash. It is constructed from 7075-T6 aluminum and has a 3.500-inch diameter.

Installation is straightforward, requiring the removal of the factory 2-piece shaft and installation of the 1-piece unit with included hardware. A minor modification to the rear seatbelt bolt may be necessary for clearance. This upgrade offers improved throttle response and a smoother overall feel, while also reducing drivetrain power loss associated with the factory driveshaft's hanger bearing movement. It is rated for up to 997 lb-ft of torque.
