By replacing the original setup, which includes a Giubo (rubber drive) and hanger bearing, this driveshaft eliminates the "disconnected feeling" associated with the factory component. The stock shaft's design requires multiple flex points before engaging the drivetrain, whereas this single-piece unit, featuring a 1350 U-joint and a Custom 108mm CV, provides a more direct and athletic connection to the road, resulting in a more responsive pedal feel and potentially quicker 60-foot times at the track. Constructed from a robust 4-inch 6061-T6 aluminum tube, this driveshaft is built for strength and reduced weight. The crucial spline is made from 300M material and integrated into an aluminum head, further enhancing its durability. The custom 108mm CV joint is fitted with a high-speed boot and special grease to withstand demanding conditions. Each driveshaft is meticulously balanced on a high-speed 9500rpm balancer, ensuring top-tier quality and performance. It is also rated for up to 1000HP, making it suitable for high-performance applications. Installation of this 1-piece driveshaft requires specific steps, including the use of included spacers to adjust the front mount of the differential, ensuring adequate clearance for the rear section of the shaft. Additionally, a Rear Subframe/Cradle Lock-out kit MUST be installed prior to fitting this driveshaft. Failure to do so and any resulting damage will void the manufacturer's warranty. This driveshaft is designed for the 2009-2014 Dodge Charger R/T (5.7L VVT), SRT8 (6.1L/6.4L), and the 2009-2014 Chrysler 300C R/T (5.7L) and SRT8 (6.1L/6.4L) models equipped with a 4-bolt flange and Getrag differential.
