Constructed from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, the one-piece forged caliper design eliminates weak spots, preventing fracturing, warpage, and failure. Caliper pistons are made from aluminum and protected with heavy-duty seals capable of handling racetrack temperatures. The opposed-piston design ensures consistent brake pad grip and wear. Standard features include high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The lightweight 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center sections reduce rotational mass for quicker brake response. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler than slotted rotors, while slotted rotors are suggested for track use to help manage heat, dust, and gases. This Big Brake Kit includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines for improved pedal response and a firmer feel. Standard SC5 Street Pads are included, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The kit comes with CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets for direct bolt-on installation to OEM locations.
