1-Piece Carbon Fiber Driveshaft

The Driveshaft Shop Carbon Fiber Driveshaft is a high-performance, one-piece upgrade engineered for the manual transmission models of the Scion FR-S (2013–2016), Subaru BRZ (2013–2021), and Toyota 86 (2017–2021). This driveshaft replaces the factory two-piece steel unit, significantly reducing rotational mass and weighing approximately half as much. It is constructed from a custom-wound, high modulus carbon fiber tube with a 2.75" diameter, providing exceptional strength and stiffness while minimizing weight. The ends are machined from durable 6061-T6 aluminum, ensuring lightweight strength and corrosion resistance. The one-piece design eliminates the factory center support bearing, which can reduce drivetrain movement during acceleration and lead to a smoother, more direct power delivery. This reduction in rotational inertia and elimination of the center bearing enhances vehicle responsiveness, sharpens throttle response, and reduces drivetrain vibrations for a more engaging driving experience. This driveshaft is a direct bolt-in replacement and installs using all factory mounting points and hardware, requiring no modifications to the vehicle. All original shields, plates, and covers remain fully compatible and can be reused. The unit features larger, replaceable universal joints for enhanced durability and serviceability.
