1-Piece Carbon Fiber Driveshaft

The Drive Shaft Shop TOSH86-C is a 1-piece, 2.75” diameter driveshaft engineered from high modulus carbon fiber for the 2012+ Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ, and Toyota GT86 equipped with a manual transmission. This upgraded component offers a significant weight reduction, being roughly half the mass of the stock 2-piece unit, which contributes to a more responsive feel and a reduction in drivetrain noise. Constructed with a custom-wound carbon fiber tubing to ensure superior strength and clearance, the TOSH86-C features larger, replaceable u-joints for enhanced durability and serviceability. It is designed to handle substantial power levels, rated for approximately 850WHP. The design allows for the use of all factory shields, plates, and covers without requiring any modifications to the vehicle. By replacing the factory 2-piece driveshaft with this single-piece carbon fiber unit, drivers can expect a more immediate throttle response due to the reduced rotational mass and the elimination of hanger bearing movement during acceleration. This driveshaft is available for most popular motor and transmission combinations, with custom options also being available. Please note that this driveshaft may cause interference with aftermarket short-throw shifters.
