Description

The East Coast Driveline 1-piece carbon fiber driveshaft is engineered as a high-performance upgrade for the 2018-2023 Ford Mustang GT S550 equipped with the 5.0L Coyote engine and either an automatic or manual transmission. This driveshaft is designed to handle over 1000 horsepower, making it suitable for demanding applications. Constructed from a 3.25-inch outside diameter, 3.5-inch by .125 wall carbon fiber tube sourced from Composite Drivelines and/or NEAPCO, it features 14 layers of directional weaves for enhanced durability and strength. The internal components include a 2024 aluminum yoke shaft and spline sleeve assembly from Composite Drivelines, which offers superior strength compared to traditional 6061 aluminum. High-speed balancing is performed on all driveshafts to ensure optimal performance. This driveshaft employs 1350 series solid cross, non-greaseable performance U-joints from NEAPCO. This setup avoids the need for additional adapters or hardware typically associated with high-speed CV joints. The rear flange uses upgraded hardware, while factory hardware is reused on the transmission flange. East Coast Driveline, formerly Long Island Driveshaft and Suffolk Driveshaft, specializes in custom driveline systems, offering builds in Aluminum, Carbon Fiber, D.O.M Steel, and Chromoly for various year, make, and model applications.
