The calipers are constructed from a 1-piece billet of aerospace-grade aluminum, ensuring light weight, unparalleled strength, and resistance to corrosion. Aluminum pistons offer better heat resistance and maintain uncompromised operation, while the opposed-piston design ensures consistent brake pad grip and wear. High-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates are standard. The lightweight center sections, crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reduce rotational mass for quicker stopping and immediate brake response. The two-piece design allows the outer rotor to expand and contract independently, reducing the chance of warping due to heat buildup, and the aluminum center sections act as heat sinks. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they run cooler than slotted rotors, and both types offer increased bite and self-cleaning.
