All calipers feature a one-piece construction from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, offering lightweight strength and corrosion resistance. The aluminum pistons are protected with heavy-duty seals capable of handling racetrack temperatures, ensuring smooth operation and preventing drag. An opposed-piston design guarantees consistent brake pad grip and wear. The lightweight center sections are crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reducing rotational mass and improving brake response. The two-piece design also allows the rotor's outer section to expand and contract independently, reducing the risk of warping due to heat buildup. Customers can choose between Cross Drilled rotors, recommended for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler, or Slotted Rotors, recommended for track use as they help dissipate heat, dust, and gases more effectively. The specific kit, BKBM251-433CO, is for the BMW F31 3-Series Wagon (2012-2018) and includes 330x32mm rotors. It is noted that this kit excludes M PACKAGE models. Included as standard are D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. The kit also comes with SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for those who prioritize maximum stopping power under extreme track conditions, though these are not recommended for street use.
