It also incorporates standard full-floating rotors to ensure superior self-centering within the caliper, thereby enhancing braking efficiency and responsiveness. The calipers are crafted from a single billet of aerospace-grade aluminum, utilizing a forged one-piece construction that guarantees exceptional strength, lightweight design, and resistance to corrosion. Integrated within these calipers are aluminum pistons, chosen for their superior heat tolerance and unwavering performance under demanding conditions. A key feature of the Supercomp kit is its floating two-piece rotor design. This dynamic alignment minimizes brake drag and contributes to a more consistent and powerful brake application, especially during spirited driving or track use. Furthermore, the rotors are available in either a slotted or cross-drilled configuration. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles due to their enhanced cooling capabilities, while slotted rotors are better suited for track-focused applications where heat dissipation is critical. This kit comes standard with Ksport's SC5 Street Pads, formulated to provide excellent braking performance for both street driving and occasional track use. The optimal operating temperature range for these pads is between 194°F and 1022°F. Additionally, D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are included, which resist expansion under pressure, leading to a firmer pedal feel and a more immediate pedal response compared to standard rubber lines.
