This ICON Premium Forged Series piston and ring kit (IC958KTD.040) is designed for Ford Small Block Windsor engines (289 to 427 cubic inches) with a 0.040" overbore. The kit includes "Ductile Iron w/Moly" rings. ICON pistons are available in 2618 and 4032 alloy, with the 4032 alloy offering controlled thermal expansion for tighter piston-to-wall clearance, suitable for street and some boosted applications. The 2618 alloy is heat-treated for high-performance use, including very high compression ratios, boosted setups, and nitrous. These pistons feature offset wrist pins, 2nd land accumulator grooves, and round wire locks. Some kits may include skirt coating.
