The Comp Cams 772-16 valve spring retainers are engineered for high-performance applications, particularly for serious racers seeking to maximize engine speed and power. Crafted from aerospace-grade 6AL4V titanium, these retainers are significantly stronger and lighter than traditional steel alternatives, contributing to reduced valve float and improved overall engine response. Each retainer in this set of 16 is designed with a 7-degree lock angle and is compatible with 8mm valve stems. The outer diameter of the spring is 1.055 inches, with primary diameters of 1.030 inches and 1.290 inches. These retainers utilize COMP Cams' proprietary Super Lock technology, ensuring a secure and reliable connection with 10-degree valve stem locks. For best results and system integrity, they are recommended for use with COMP Cams' matching valve locks and optional lash caps.
