The SPAL VA11-AP7/C-57S is a 10-inch (255mm) electric radiator fan designed for push applications, meaning it mounts in front of the radiator to force air through the core. SPAL Automotive, a renowned designer and manufacturer of automotive electric fans since 1959, produces this fan to withstand demanding conditions. This fan features a standard brushed motor and delivers a maximum airflow of 844 cfm (1430 m³/hr). Its construction includes a sealed, IP68-certified motor, offering superior protection against dust and water ingress, ensuring stability and lifelong performance in extreme environments. The fan's dimensions include a 10-inch (255mm) blade diameter, a 10.55-inch (268mm) housing diameter, and a slim 2-inch (51.1mm) depth, making it suitable for applications where space is limited. It operates on a 12V system, with a continuous current draw of 7.6-8.5 amps and a power consumption of 91.2-102.0 watts. The VA11-AP7/C-57S fan is designed for various mounting methods, including bolt holes and slide-in flanges. The commonly used bracket and strap mount utilizes powder-coated steel straps, approximately 200mm long, to reach radiator flanges. Additional mounting brackets of 20mm, 30mm, and 60mm are also available. A through-core mounting bolt kit is offered but not recommended for heavy fans as it may damage the radiator over time. The fan is supplied with a 2-pin female connector, and compatible male connectors and terminals are available separately. Proper fusing for the power supply is essential. SPAL fans are known for their reliability, with this model including a 36-month warranty. The manufacturer holds certifications such as UNI EN ISO 9001:2008, ISO TS 16949, and ISO 14001. While this standard motor is suitable for most applications, more powerful motors are recommended for vehicles with extra-thick radiators, air conditioning, turbo intercoolers, or transmission coolers.
