The Rockford Fosgate M2D2-10I Color Optix™ 10-inch subwoofer is purpose-built for marine applications, offering loud, clear, and accurate bass. Its Element Ready™ design ensures durability against water, salt, and UV rays, meeting IP67 certification standards. The subwoofer features a switchable dual voice coil that can be configured to 1-Ohm or 4-Ohm using the integrated VersaSwitch™, providing flexibility for amplifier matching. Constructed with an injection-molded mineral-filled polypropylene cone and UV inhibitors, the M2D2-10I also utilizes VAST (Vertical Attach Surround Technique) to increase radiating cone area. It includes ultra-bright, wide-angle RGB LEDs for customizable lighting, controlled via the Rockford Fosgate Color Optix™ plug-and-play controller and RF Connect App (controller sold separately). The integrated Deutsch™ and Amphenol™ connectors ensure simple, error-proof plug-and-play connectivity, complementing its true marine ecosystem design. This subwoofer is optimized for infinite baffle installations, meaning it does not require a traditional enclosure, though a mounting baffle is necessary to prevent acoustic cancellation. It offers a frequency response of 20 Hz to 750 Hz and a power handling of 400 Watts RMS (1600 Watts Peak). Multiple grille options, including stainless steel and sport inserts, allow for a customized look.
