10° Titanium Valve Spring Retainers

The COMP CAMS 10° Titanium Valve Spring Retainers (CC730-16) are engineered to address valve float in high-performance engines, particularly those utilizing higher lift camshafts. Constructed from premium 6AL4V alloy, these retainers offer superior stiffness and resistance to warping, ensuring optimal valve train stability at elevated RPMs. Key specifications for these retainers include a 10° lock angle, compatibility with all valve stem sizes, and a valve spring diameter range of 1.437-1.500 inches. The internal dimensions are designed for specific valve springs, with an inside diameter of the inner spring at .700 inches and the outer spring at 1.065 inches. The outside diameter of the retainer itself measures 1.437 inches. These titanium retainers are designed for direct use with Competition Cams 977-16 valve springs and are also compatible with other springs within the specified diameter range. For proper installation and function, Comp Super Locks are required and must be purchased separately.
