The Karbonius CSL Style Airbox is a meticulously crafted replica of the iconic BMW M3 E46 CSL airbox, engineered for performance and sound enhancement. Constructed from 100% prepreg carbon fiber and cured in an autoclave, this intake system features carbon fiber trumpets, a modification from the original plastic design, contributing to its lightweight nature and superior airflow dynamics. The trumpets have a modified diameter (51.5mm vs. 50mm) and a reshaped front, specifically redesigned for the sixth trumpet to improve air intake and provide a measurable horsepower gain. It includes CNC-machined aluminum components, anodized finishes, aluminum threads, and stainless steel screws. The weave is precisely matched across the piece, creating a perfect visual and an airtight seal with a neoprene foam gasket between the front and rear sections. Karbonius offers this component with a choice of gloss or matte finish and plain (1x1) or twill (2x2) weave. Installation of this airbox requires a remap and professional installation is highly recommended, as instructions are not included. Additional parts may be necessary for fitting.
