The Kenwood eXcelon Reference Series XR1001-1 is a Class D mono amplifier engineered to deliver substantial power to your subwoofer, rated at 1,000 watts RMS into 2 ohms and 500 watts RMS into 4 ohms. This amplifier utilizes Kenwood's Dual Σdrive technology, a Power MOS-FET Switching Power Supply, and an extruded aluminum heat sink design for efficient operation and heat dissipation. Its advanced circuit design and upgraded components are aimed at virtually eliminating noise and maximizing overall sound quality, with a signal-to-noise ratio of 100dB. Designed for flexible installation, the XR1001-1 features an incredibly low profile, standing only 2 inches tall. It includes a variable low-pass filter (50Hz-200Hz) and a variable infrasonic filter (15Hz-40Hz) to precisely control the subwoofer's frequency range. A built-in bass boost control (40Hz, 0dB-+18dB) allows for further sound customization. Additional features include speaker-level inputs with signal sensing turn-on, terminal covers, a cooling fan, line output terminals for system expansion, and adjustable RCA and speaker level input sensitivities.
