The MR2Heaven Side Mount Intercooler Core is an essential upgrade for 1991-1998 Toyota MR2 Turbo models serious about performance driving. It features a 100mm thick aluminum core for increased airflow and improved cooling capabilities, reducing intake air temperatures and the associated loss of horsepower and torque. The core is powder coated silver (excluding the fins) for durability and a clean look.

The MR2Heaven Side Mount Intercooler Core is specifically designed for 1991-1998 Toyota MR2 Turbo models with any generation 3SGTE motor, offering a significant upgrade over generic intercooler cores. It provides increased airflow and enhanced cooling, which is crucial for maintaining engine timing and maximizing horsepower and torque, especially during repeated aggressive driving. This intercooler core measures 200mm width x 235mm length x 100mm thick, utilizing exclusive aluminum end tanks cast from MR2Heaven's own molds for consistent quality. The powder-coated silver finish (excluding fins) adds durability and a clean aesthetic. The design incorporates shorter inlet and outlet lengths on the end tanks, providing an additional 14-16mm of room for pipe adjustment. This extra flexibility is vital for clearing components like x-braces, preventing pipes from rubbing against each other or other parts, and accommodating variations in exhaust manifolds. The mounting tabs are precisely positioned to minimize gaps and ensure better consistency. This product is for the intercooler core only; it does not include the block-off plate, fan shroud, or fan. It is designed as a direct bolt-on to the stock factory intercooler location and works with MR2Heaven's intercooler pipes and SPAL fan offerings for maximum performance. Please note that this intercooler core does not work with stock intercooler pipes.
