Overview

The Superwinch Talon 12.5 Winch is a high-performance off-road winch designed for heavy-duty vehicle recovery. It features a sealed 6-HP, 12V series-wound motor for quick and safe line pulling, a rubber hand-held remote with a 15-foot coiled cord, and a pull-and-turn free-spool clutch for fast rope payout. The winch includes a 3/8" diameter AmSteel-Blue synthetic rope, a blue anodized aluminum hawse fairlead, and an automatic, dual-stop, 100-percent-load-holding mechanical brake. Its VS4 vented, submersible, and stabilized solenoid with a sealed socket meets IP67 standards, keeping out water, mud, snow, and dust, and features a patented venting system to release contact-damaging internal condensation. The winch has an all-steel, 2-stage planetary and 2-stage spur gearbox, and an extruded aluminum body that is sturdy and corrosion-resistant. It has a 12,500 lbs. static load rating and an 8,000 lbs. vehicle recovery capacity. It is backed by a 3-year limited warranty on electrical components and a lifetime warranty on mechanical components.
