The SunCoast Performance 10L1000 Pro Loc Valve Body and Pump Kit is engineered to enhance the performance and durability of the 10L1000 transmission, especially under heavy use such as towing, hauling, street racing, and drag racing. This kit features several key improvements. It increases line pressure by as much as 60 psi, which boosts clamping force on all clutch packs and increases lock-up apply pressure. The cooler charge pressure sees a significant 250% increase, improving heat dissipation. Additionally, the maximal pressure actuation of clutch packs is decreased by 33%, leading to shortened shift times and improved clutch wear. The overall design aims to reduce heat generation and prevent premature failure in high-horsepower applications. The Pro Loc Valve Body specifically addresses the torque converter clutch (TCC) circuit by replacing the TCC valve to increase holding apply fluid pressure and modifying oiling circuits for quicker apply times, thereby reducing TCC clutch degradation. It also enhances the lube circuit, increasing flow from the factory 6 PSI to 20 PSI (a 250% improvement) to manage heat and support increased demands. Furthermore, the regulator valve circuit is modified to fully engage clutch packs, including the critical 'F' clutch, at a lower pressure (80 psi instead of 120 psi), further shortening shift times and reducing clutch pack heat. For maximum results in power levels exceeding 800 HP, it is recommended that the TCC apply offset be changed in the factory file calibration.
