10R80 Pro Loc Valve Body and Pump Kit

The SunCoast 10R80 Pro Loc Valve Body and Pump Combo is engineered to enhance the performance and durability of 10R80 transmissions when subjected to more demanding driving environments, including heavy towing, hauling, street racing, and drag racing. The kit features a multi-faceted approach that goes beyond simply increasing line pressure. It targets the transmission's lock-up circuit by replacing the torque converter clutch (TCC) valve to increase apply fluid pressure. This modification, along with improved oiling circuits, leads to quicker TCC apply times, reduced TCC clutch degradation, and ultimately, improved reliability and performance. For those pushing power levels beyond 800HP, it is recommended to adjust the TCC apply offset in the factory calibration. Further enhancing the transmission's robustness, the Pro Loc kit addresses the lube circuit. It increases lube oil pressure from the factory 6 PSI to 20 PSI, a 250% improvement. This heightened lubrication is critical for removing heat and managing the increased demands on the planets, clutches, and bushings during stressful situations, helping to prevent premature failure often seen in high-horsepower applications. The regulator valve circuit also receives attention, specifically targeting the 'F' clutch pack, which is prone to failure in high-demand scenarios. The factory calibration requires 120 psi to fully engage the regulator valve for maximum clamping force. This SunCoast kit reduces that requirement to 80 psi (a 33% decrease), resulting in quicker shift apply times for clutch packs A, B, C, and F. This not only shortens shifts but also decreases heat buildup within the clutch packs, preventing degradation and extending clutch life. Additionally, the overall main line pressure is increased by up to 60 psi, enhancing clamping force and pump volume, with a built-in bypass for pressures above 420 psi to prevent over-compression.
