Designed in collaboration with C/R, this unit utilizes a proprietary NASCAR-style core featuring a single-row, dual-pass system and is equipped with 11-inch fans designed to pull more air across the core compared to standard heat exchangers. This component is particularly beneficial for high-performance applications, with a recommendation for cars exceeding 650 horsepower and those frequently driven in hot climates. Under spirited or track conditions, intercooler and heat exchanger temperatures can rise quickly, often triggering the stock ECU to reduce spark and timing at around 100 degrees. This competition heat exchanger allows for higher operational temperatures (130-140 degrees) before these protective measures are enacted, enabling sustained performance.
