Description

The PacBrake PRXB (pressure regulated exhaust brake) is a leading supplemental brake designed for Cummins ISC 8.3L engines (4" inline mount). It provides superior braking horsepower, speed reduction, and stopping distances without using service brakes. The PRXB maintains optimal retarding performance by maximizing exhaust backpressure across the RPM range, delivering constant braking pressure as early as 1200 RPM. It can be engaged via an ON/OFF switch by lifting the foot from the throttle. This quiet system reduces service brake wear, making it ideal for city driving or steep grades, saving money on brake maintenance.
