The WCFab X PPE's 2011-2016 LML Duramax High-Capacity Cast Aluminum Engine Oil Pan replaces the poorly draining stock steel oil pan with this flat bottom high capacity oil pan. The stock pan has a valley in the design that sucks in nearly a quart of your dirtiest oil and immediately contaminates fresh oil after a fresh fill. This deep pan has been engineered with a flat bottom to ensure all oil is drained properly during a service. The stock Duramax engine oil pan is made of stamped steel, which offers very poor heat dissipation. This upgraded pan is made from cast A356.0-T6 aluminum for added strength and optimum heat management. The extra quart of capacity provided by this product helps reduce oil temperatures, increase oil pressure, and provide better lubrication to your engine's vital components. Unshrouded oil pickup results in less restriction near the pump than OEM, resulting in higher oil pressure and better lubrication.
