The STI 11mm Oil Pump is a genuine Subaru OEM replacement component engineered for optimal lubrication in 2.5L EJ25 turbocharged engines. Featuring an 11mm rotor design, this pump is recommended by experts for any major engine rebuild, timing belt replacement, or internal service on compatible WRX and STI models. It is specifically required when converting a 2.0L engine platform to an STI shortblock, as the original 2.0L pump is not compatible with the 2.5L configuration. This pump is compatible with the following vehicles: Subaru WRX (2002-2014), Subaru STi (2004-2021), Legacy GT (2005-2009), Outback XT (2005-2009), and Forester XT (2004-2008). Please note that the 2.0L oil pump will not fit 2.5L engine blocks, making this 11mm unit the correct choice for 2.5L-based builds. Regarding installation and warranty, Subaru of America strictly warrants parts installed by a certified Subaru dealership when the part matches the vehicle VIN. DIY installations or modifications, such as installing an STI block into a non-factory WRX chassis, will void factory warranty claims.
