The Strange Engineering 12 Bolt F-Body Rear End Assembly is engineered to be a robust upgrade for 1993-2002 Camaro, Firebird, and Trans Am models that utilize factory brakes and ABS systems. This assembly replaces the entire rear end, offering enhanced durability and performance over the original equipment. Constructed with a proprietary nodular iron casting, this 12-bolt rear end is significantly stronger, yet thinner and lighter, than OEM units. The main caps are forged from chrome moly, providing superior strength compared to cast iron. The casting is designed with an integrated torque arm mount and provisions for a Strange 3-channel sensor, making it compatible with the factory ABS system. This package includes an Eaton 33 spline Truetrack differential, ensuring reliable power delivery. It comes with a 33 spline Alloy axle package featuring a 4 3/4″ bolt circle and a choice of wheel stud kits. Customers can select their preferred gear ratio from available options. The assembly is professionally welded and includes a standard gear set, an S-Series pinion yoke, a conversion U-joint suitable for stock driveshafts, a pinion yoke U-bolt kit, and a chrome steel cover. It is shipped fully crated at no additional charge. Brake requirements vary by model year: 1993-1997 models will accept factory brakes but require optional billet caliper mounts. For 1998-2002 models, customer-provided caliper mounts and backing plates are necessary, and the rear end must be sent in for assembly. The ABS system integration depends on the reluctor ring location: 3-channel ABS uses a differential-mounted reluctor ring with a special Strange ABS sensor, while 4-channel ABS utilizes axle-mounted rings which require the OEM rings to be sent in for assembly or available for separate purchase. Customers must provide their vehicle's year, desired width (factory or custom), ABS channel type, gear ratio, and stud choice upon ordering.
